Ratna wants to outlive her tragic past. Her whole family has perished in accidents and she was forced into an indentured lifestyle as a prostitute despite her efforts to avoid it. Luckily, she did manage to avoid forced drug addiction and even major STDs. She'd rather forget that time in her life but it always haunts her just beyond the periphery of her broadened vision. It's as if the harsh reality of her sleeping life now niggles at the edges of Awakened reality in a strange reversal.
